Julie Bourbon is a Washington, D.C.-based writer, editor, and communicator with a broad background in religion,  higher education, journalism, and magazine publishing. She works with a network of communications professionals, including graphic designers,  speechwriters, and content marketers,  to meet any communications needs.

Julie has more than 20 years of experience as a freelance writer and editor and has been published in the Washington Post, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, National Catholic Reporter, Sojourners magazine, National Jesuit News, and Trusteeship magazine, among others.

Julie’s skills include:

  • Producing original content for a variety of readers and audiences.
  • Revising and polishing copy, improving content and readability.
  • Working collaboratively with designers to bring print and web materials to fruition.
  • Drafting persuasive speeches, statements, brochures, newsletters, and other communications tools for thought leaders.

Julie is also an amateur photographer and a certified yoga instructor.
